How do I control Ableton Live or FL Studio with my webcam using Roy's Atelier?

Open Roy's Atelier in Chrome or Edge, open the DAW MIDI Bridge drawer, and select your virtual MIDI port (IAC Driver on macOS or loopMIDI on Windows). In your DAW, enable MIDI Remote on that port. Use the [SOLO MAP] button next to any axis in Roy's Atelier to isolate its output, activate MIDI Learn in your DAW (Cmd+M or Ctrl+J), move your hand to bind the parameter, and click [UNSOLO].

How does Roy's Atelier eliminate hand-tracking coordinate jitter?

Roy's Atelier processes MediaPipe 21-landmark skeletal hand coordinates through a proprietary second-order 1-Euro adaptive filter combined with Kalman smoothing at 60 frames per second. When hands are static, the cutoff frequency drops to eliminate optical sensor noise; when hands accelerate during strikes or glissandos, the filter increases cutoff frequency dynamically for sub-millisecond responsiveness.

How does 14-bit WebMIDI Pitchbend eliminate MIDI stepping?

Standard MIDI Continuous Controllers (CC) only provide 7-bit resolution (128 discrete steps), which produces audible stairstepping during smooth glissandos. Roy's Atelier maps the primary pitch axis to 14-bit MIDI Pitchbend, yielding 16,384 discrete steps for completely fluid, analog-style continuous microtonal glissandos.

Can Roy's Atelier be used offline as a desktop app?

Yes. Roy's Atelier is a certified Progressive Web App (PWA) with full service worker asset caching. It supports desktop installation with Window Controls Overlay (WCO) and validates Pro licenses offline using local Ed25519 cryptographic receipts.

What is included in the Free Tier vs Pro Tier?

The Free Tier includes permanent, unrestricted access to the Theremin and Swiss Handpan with mouse/touch/webcam tracking, Chromatic and Major scale quantizers, and standard audio playback. The Pro Tier ($19 early adopter special / $29 regular) unlocks the Ondes Martenot, Cristal Baschet, and Spatial Laser Harp, 10-axis 14-bit WebMIDI DAW routing with [SOLO MAP], all 8 exotic scales, 32-bit WAV and .mid stem recording, and OBS transparent streamer mode.
